To the family of Sheila Inwards. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and my thoughts are with you. I had private recorder lessons with Sheila as a child. At the time, in my naïve mind, I didn't think much of the significance of doing this. I really enjoyed the concerts we would perform for the family, using quirky song categories and I still (40 years later) have the hand-made programmes from said concerts! Now, as my own children learn instruments as they progress through school, I can fully appreciate the wonderful music foundation that my parents and, of course, Sheila gave me in those formative years. Such a precious opportunity that I also now realise, was fairly unique and a privilege for a child growing up in the 70s & 80s. So, thank you Sheila. Your musical legacy lives on.
